Barrie Boutique, Conduit Street, London

The Scottish brand’s first London boutique of approximately 135sqm occupying a ground floor and basement on Conduit Street, within London’s prestigious Mayfair shopping area. The project was carried out under challenging programme and cost constraints but a very successful conclusion was never-the-less achieved. The scheme used natural materials to reflect the brand’s highland heritage, with large areas of light granite, timber and slate. The project included the design and implementation of millwork items, as well as addressing the unusual footprint of the space – particularly around the entrance. McDonald Architects acted as executive architects developing and implementing the concept of the brand’s own design team.
